Jack Mason made his first appearance in the AMA Pro Hillcimb Series in 2002. However, after leaving the sport for almost 10 years, he would return in 2017 to win one of the most prestigious awards in pro hillclimb, the DW7 Hard Charger Award. Jack has a long history of racing, starting hillclimb when he was just 6 years old and taking his first National Championship at the age of 10. Throughout the years, he's competed in motocross, hare scrambles and even finished Top 10 in the GNCC Championships. Jack's 2017 Return resulted in missing the podium for the overall points championship by only 1 point--landing him in 4th place for the season in the 450 Class. One of the most exciting races in the 2017 season was Jack's performance in the All Star Challenge in Middle Tennessee, missing the win by fractions of a second when he showcased the power of his Watson built 636cc motor on 100% Nitromethane. Dan Watson has put more bikes on the Pro podium than any other engine builder in the modern hillclimb era. In 2018, Jack plans to be a contender for a National Title and expects to finish on the podium for the overall season points.
